Comprehensive Game Design Documentation (GDD) for Stealth Action title.

Context

I created complete game design documentation suite for DECLARATION, an atmospheric spritual stealth action game, as capstone project for Epic Games Game Design Certification (2024-2025). Documentation included executive pitch deck and full game design document covering all design aspects.

Challenge

Game design requires comprehensive documentation serving multiple audiences with different needs. Executives and investors need high-level vision and market viability. Development teams need detailed technical specifications, mechanics breakdowns, and implementation guidance. Publishers need competitive analysis and market positioning.

The challenge was creating documentation architecture that:

  • Communicated core concepts compellingly for non-technical stakeholders

  • Provided sufficient technical detail for development team planning

  • Demonstrated market understanding and competitive positioning

  • Maintained consistent vision across all documentation levels

  • Organized complex, interconnected game systems logically

Approach

I provided a two-tier documentation system following guidance from Epic Games.

Executive Pitch Deck targeting investors and leadership:
